Bumble Cottage: Further details

Although Victorian in origin, Bumble Cottage has been completely refurbished to a high standard and offers the modern conveniences of the twenty-first century

The accommodation is suitable for a couple and includes a large open-plan living area downstairs with dining area leading into a comfortable and cosy lounge.

The lounge has television with digital channels (not Sky at present), Sony CD/DAB music system with iPod dock and DVD player. There is free WiFi access throughout the cottage.

French doors open on to an enclosed garden with patio, lawn area and pond. A gas barbecue is available for your use.

A country-style kitchen leads from the lounge and includes fridge/freezer, dishwasher, butler sink, microwave and gas oven/hob. There is also a newly-installed downstairs bathroom and wc.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom with lovely views over the common and duck pond and a leisure/work room with a desk, sofa and small library of books for you to read if it rains (though it rarely does in our part of East Anglia). There is also a newly installed upstairs shower and wc.

We supply all towels, linen and duvet and bathrobes for the duration of your stay. We'll also provide a welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar and milk but please do let us know if there's anything else you need on arrival and we'll see what we can do.

Our prices include power and gas central heating. The electricity and gas is regularly tested and certificated and we also have carbon monoxide and smoke detectors fitted and working around the cottage.

We're sorry but as this is an adults-only property we cannot accept bookings that include children. We also cannot accept pets of any kind, even if they're grown up! We also have a strict no smoking policy and lighting up is very likely to bring the Soham Fire Brigade quickly to the cottage doorstep if the smoke alarms don't deafen you first!
