Bumble
Cottage
Bumble Cottage is a pretty Victorian cottage in
Soham, Cambridgeshire. It is available for holiday lets and weekend breaks all the year round and is an ideal
location from which to explore the city of Cambridge, rural Cambridgeshire and coastal Norfolk and Suffolk,
yet located only an hour from London
The cottage was built in 1894 and was totally refurbished to a high, modern
standard in 2010 - including free WiFi access throughout - to offer a quiet getaway where
contemporary meets the country.
The cottage is situated off a quiet street overlooking Qua Fen - one of the three
commons that surround the village. These commons are unique and not known to exist in quite the same way
anywhere else in the country. They are derived from strip farming methods and land rights which go back to the
Middle Ages.

Now protected by law, no developments can be built on this
land. From May through October, local people exercise grazing rights so during these months there are often
roaming horses and highland cattle to be seen.
Just one hundred yards from the cottage is a natural pond where a variety of ducks
and waterfowl can be seen throughout the year. There is a picnic area here as well.
Further afield there are many places to visit, drink and eat.
